| ANWB Media Publishing is one of the biggest publishers in the Netherlands, offering a wide range of maps, books, guides and magazines. The travel guides and maps are part of the broad assortment of travel information available on the Netherlands, Europe and distant destinations. People on the move and tourists alike, can choose from publications for motorists, hikers and cyclists, and water sports and winter sports enthusiasts. In addition to general guides on travel, culture and nature, the ANWB also publishes route guides, language guides and restaurant and accommodation guides for both the Netherlands and abroad. Nine magazines and one newspaper The ANWB publishes nine magazines and almost all the publications have their own website. The editorial staff organise trade fairs, festivals, courses and readers' trips and special offers aimed at increasing reader loyalty and raising familiarity with the titles on offer. The Kampioen is by far the largest monthly magazine in the Netherlands, with a circulation of more than 3.5 million. It is the club magazine of the ANWB and is provided free of charge 11 times a year to all ANWB members. The Kampioen is a modern magazine full of reports on the Netherlands and abroad, including car tests, and practical tips on transport, holidays and leisure. The holiday magazine REIZEN is published 11 times a year and is aimed at a broad readership. The magazine is bursting with ideas on special holidays, tips for holiday preparations and guides to various destinations. REIZEN readers are in search of little-known destinations that combine unspoilt beauty with a certain degree of comfort. Op Pad, the magazine for active holidays, is published 9 times a year. An increasing number of people are taking short breaks, one-day or weekend trips by bike, on foot or by canoe. Op Pad describes areas that have yet to be fully discovered by tourists. The magazine leads the field in the practical testing of, among other things, hiking, cycling, canoeing and mountaineering equipment. The Kampeer & Caravan Kampioen is delivered to subscribers 12 times a year and contains articles on camping in the broadest sense of the word. The magazine focuses on tourist camping in the Netherlands and abroad, and contains information and news on the technical aspects of camping. Due to its expertise and knowledge, the Kampeer & Caravankampioen is a recognised authority in its field. Several times a year the magazine includes extras like route maps and booklets. The Waterkampioen is the biggest water-sports magazine in the Netherlands. This magazine is published fortnightly and focuses on running and maintaining pleasure craft. The Waterkampioen also contains articles on designing and building yachts, accessories, products, technology, do-it-yourself and tourism in the Netherlands and abroad. The current affairs column, De Uitkijk, that appears 24 times a year, is the major source of information on domestic and international developments in water sports. Autokampioen is a fortnightly glossy magazine for car enthusiasts. Regular articles include a comprehensive current affairs column, car tests, background stories, second-hand cars, do-it-yourself tips and motor sports reports. The magazine also publishes reliable test-drive reports on models still to released on the market. Promotor, the tourist-technical motorcycle magazine, is published 10 times a year. The magazine targets the newest type of motorcycle riders - the leisure-time riders. These readers regard motorcycling largely as a hobby rather than a permanent form of transport - they own cars alongside their motorcycles. promotor is a varied and informative magazine that focuses on motorcycles as well as the person behind the machine. Accommodation Guides Each year, thousands of Dutch campers pack copies of ANWB camping guides away in their luggage. The two-part guide to Europe and the guide to small campsites list numerous European campsites and offer reliable information on prices and facilities. In addition, a DVD is available with listings of more than 8,200 campsites in Europe. Specials ANWB Wintersport Special is the annual winter-sports enthusiasts' bible - bursting with winter-sports news, developments and trends blended with tourism and technology. This thick guide includes reports on winter-sports holiday resorts, and offers reviews of new products and technology. Each year the magazine publishes the results of a comprehensive skis test and previews the coming winter-sports trends. |
